The video for the “Let someone else drive” (Passe le Volant) campaign is punctuated with slices of the life of a driver who never, absolutely never, lets go of his steering wheel: a work meeting, meal in a restaurant with the family, his daughter’s end-of-year performance, walking his dog, dancing in a discotheque... The particular feature is that in each image the man is holding on to his steering wheel. He is inseparable from it and refuses to let it go whenever anyone comes near and tries to take it from him. The film ends on these words of common sense: “It’s better to hang onto your life rather than your steering wheel”, calling for a change in behaviour.
Through these comical scenes, the film makes fun of certain drivers obstinately wanting to drive at all costs even if they are tired, over the limit or on medication.
